Chpt 4 - The Traders' Trial

Mervin Spratt came over almost every night, irritating the whole family and pestering Josh about his collection. Mo, Josh's mother, finally lost her temper one day and stormed out of the house in a raincoat made of snakeskin. Mervin commented that snakes are devil. Josh rebutted, mentioning Max. Mervin stunned and it was obvious he knew about Gippart. Josh sense danger and moved to his father's house; his parents had divorced. Baz called him and told him about the Traders' Trail which test whether they were fast enough to be associates. They arranged to meet that night while Spratt called and told him to meet him. He went with Baz anyway. They were paired and Josh partnered with Teressa. They then enter umaya. Josh was thrown into his nightmare again before reaching his destination. He sold a matchbox for a rubber band and a stick for a matchstick to some poor kids in Lamerika. Back to reality, Max told Josh that Spratt is a senser at Gippart and asked him to take his bracelet off. Moussa, who is unconvinced of Josh performance, took him to another trail in the year of the warrior but Josh passed. He sold a ball for three lessons by a wise man, who told him to face his fears bravely and warned him against stealing. Moussa, again, warned him about Gippart's plans of time-travelling and told him to stay to only imayada. He forbids him to time-travel and warned him about the dangers of it. Josh also confessed that he was not keen because of the nightmares. Josh then went back to the normal world and just as he was about to go home, he realized that his things were stolen. Max then told Josh that stealing was strictly forbidden in Gippart.
